IGNITE
Implementing a change is really challenging from different angles:

1) for a person who is not informed why a change is being implemented;
2) for an institution which structure and goals has been stablished by dozens of years,
3) for a leader who wants to communicate effectively without the support of stakeholders.
All these aspects are important to evaluate when considering the initiative of making a change, and that’s why Ignite helped us to understand and work on during the iProgram. Today we learned that taking the initiative of promoting changes requires a plan that involves different perspectives. These insights help to elaborate the best plan that fits the needs and changes that an specific organization or company. Moreover, it involves a previous analysis of the stakeholders that will participate during the process of change and assess the potential collisions. Once this analysis is achieved, it is not a big deal to implement new policies that promote progressive changes within our teams, organizations, companies, or even at our personal circle.
This iProgram helped me to take the decision of getting engaged with a plan to improve some systems at University of Illinois, to make the environment more comfortable for all UIUC community and guests, through the implementation of an APP based on Virtual Reality to facilitate the experience of faculty, students, and all UIUC users by providing information off all facilities, schedules, research, libraries, updated, etc., without the need to explore apps like google maps, or other browsers to obtain information. Also, Ignite will help me to promote changes at different scales at my future job, and to take decisions related to change implementation as a potential leader.
The experience provided will definitely enable all the participants to promote change in a way that involves everyone with affecting or damaging internal relationships or patterns which are part of the organizations we will work on in the future.
